FAQ's

Because getting healthy shouldn’t feel complicated.

Here are some of the most common questions women ask before working with me. Whether you’re curious about holistic nutrition, my 8-week program, or what to expect from our sessions, you’ll find it all here.

If your question isn’t covered, just reach out. I promise, no question is too small or too weird.

1. What exactly does a Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant do?

I look at the whole picture, not just your diet. Together, we explore how food, lifestyle, mindset, and environment affect your energy, hormones, and overall health. Think of it as connecting the dots between what’s on your plate and how you actually feel.

2. How is a Holistic Nutritional Consultant different from a Dietitian?

Dietitians often work in hospitals or clinical settings and focus on specific medical diets. I take a more personalized and natural approach, using whole foods, herbs, movement, and mindset to support your body as a whole system. My goal is to help you feel better, not count calories.

3. Are your services covered by insurance?

Many extended health plans do cover Registered Holistic Nutritionists under “Nutritional Counselling” or “Naturopathic Services.” It depends on your provider, so check with them directly. I’m happy to provide detailed receipts for reimbursement.

4. Do I need a doctor’s referral to see you?

Nope. You can reach out anytime you’re ready to start feeling like yourself again, no referral required.

5. What kind of issues can you help with?

I work mainly with women aged 45 and over who want to regain energy, balance hormones, reduce inflammation, and feel strong again , especially during and after menopause or recovering from other life setbacks. Together, we uncover what your body’s been trying to tell you and create a plan that fits your real life.

6. Do you create meal plans?

Yes, but they’re flexible and realistic. You won’t get a “eat this, not that” lecture. Instead, you’ll receive ideas, recipes, and guidance that fit your tastes, schedule, and comfort level. No guilt, no perfection, no kale dictatorship.

7. Can you work with my existing health conditions or medications?

Yes, as long as you’re under your doctor’s care. I design nutrition and lifestyle plans that complement your medical treatment, never replace it.

8. Do you work online or only in person?

Both! I offer in-person consultations in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia, and virtual sessions for those who prefer to meet from the comfort of home.

9. Do you offer one-on-one sessions, or do I have to join a group?

You can choose either. One-on-one sessions give you personalized guidance and accountability, while group programs bring connection and shared experience. Some people love doing both.

10. How often will we meet?

It depends on your program. For private clients, we typically meet weekly or bi-weekly. Group programs have scheduled calls, and you can always reach out between sessions if you need extra support.
