You are not alone, we all have questions about menopause.
If you’re like most women I work with, the answer might be: not much. Or worse, “It’s just menopause, you’ll get through it.” That sentence alone has left too many of us confused, unsupported, and frankly, a little ticked off. Its not your doctors fault, the training just wasn’t there.
What did your doctor share about menopause?
This question matters. Too often, the answer is silence, a shrug, or a prescription. We leave with more questions than we arrived with. You might get vague reassurance or advice that doesn’t match your reality. The truth is, menopause education, for doctors and women alike, has been sorely lacking for decades.
And still, what did you learn talking to your doctor about menopause? Because we’ve all been handed a tired script: blame hormones, accept brain fog, drag yourself through fatigue, and wait it out. But let me ask, what if you stopped accepting that story?
Recently, I spoke with two women, both in menopause, both feeling stuck. Their energy was low. They felt foggy, frustrated, and overwhelmed. But instead of exploring their options, they waved the white flag. They blamed hormones. Their doctors blamed age. And the cycle continued.
Here’s the kicker: menopause absolutely impacts your body and brain, but it’s not the whole story.
Have you looked at your nutrition lately?
Are you eating protein first thing in the morning?
Are you hydrating well, or surviving on caffeine?
Are you moving your body gently, consistently?
Are you mentally stimulated and emotionally nourished?
These aren’t cure-alls, but they are power tools. And choosing to use them matters.
What resources did you doctor offer outside of HRT ?
If the answer is “not much,” you’re not alone. But don’t stop there. You deserve better. You deserve to explore what your body needs in this phase. And you don’t have to do it alone. There is nutrition, movement, supplements, pelvic floor physio, we’ve got you.
This is your invitation. No shame. No blame. Just choice. And change.
Let’s start rewriting the menopause script, together.
